What is the Schroth Method?
Developed 80 years ago in Germany by Katharina Schroth, it is the standard scoliosis treatment in Europe. The therapy, tailored to each patient, focuses on halting curve progression, reducing pain, and improving posture, strength and lung function. It includes stretching, strengthening and breathing techniques. Patients practice new techniques at home or in our clinic. The goal is to incorporate postural corrections into their daily lives. Studies have found that Schroth exercises for scoliosis improves patient prognosis, and reduces the incidence of surgery in all age groups.

The Program involves an exam and x-ray review to fully understand your curve in 3 dimensions. I will develop a system for you to support your curve in all of your daily activities (sitting, sleeping, standing and walking) We then learn the Schroth exercises custom designed for you. A fully photographic custom program manual is created for you to take home. Ongoing coaching with me is advised to keep you on track and working effectively to halt or reduce the curve. This program is the BEST way to begin your treatment.
